Plan a better Four-State holiday outing

Pair one booked activity with a nearby meal or a free walk. Leave time for parking, weather and travel between towns. Not every destination is within an hour of every starting point.

Which holiday activities are free?

The Legacy Project, Frederick’s downtown scavenger hunt, Sailing Through the Winter Solstice display and Martinsburg’s Christmas in the Park are listed as free. Hagerstown’s City Park Lighting offers free family activities. Food, shopping, transportation and optional extras may cost more.

What should I reserve in advance?

Reserve workshops, cooking classes, theater shows and bus tours through their organizers. A guide listing is not a reservation. Confirm the session, age policy and cancellation terms before buying tickets.

Do any activities require a return visit?

Yes. The Clay Gingerbread House workshop at Polka Dot Pot welcomes participants back after two weeks to paint their creations. Include that second visit when planning.

Can I participate from home?

Yes. Record a short Legacy video at home and keep a copy for your loved ones. Eligible Four-State residents can submit a Legacy message for possible publication with permission and editorial review.
